About the project

The system is composed of multiple integrated components: a series of dossiers narrating the stories of influential women in STEM while explaining the disciplines they engage with; a website that fosters interaction and exchange among users; and social media profiles offering additional content on gender-gap awareness, scientific curiosities, and current news. The first issue of Stemming is dedicated to Cecilia Laschi, a pioneer in robotics, using her career as a starting point to inspire and inform young learners.

The statistics on the STEM gender gap aim to raise readers’ awareness, while a four-act biography retraces the key moments in the role model’s life.

The role model’s contribution to her field is presented in a dedicated central section, offering a deeper insight into her work and its impact within the STEM world.
